Dementia: Keeping Active - a sample routine from Ursula Brendling

Ursula Brendling has been a Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer for over 25 years running her own business - Ursula Training. For the last 7 years she has worked with Age UK, developing a programme specifically for older adults and focusing on various long-term health conditions such as Parkinsons, MS and dementia.

She is particularly interested in cognitive development and prevention of dementia and knows that keeping active and using right and left brain activities really help.

She currently does two classes for the older adult per week, one on Zoom and one in-person and this year she qualified as a Stroke Rehab Instructor with ARNI and has learned much more about activity relating to brain function and how to incorporate this into her classes and sessions.
