Our Social Media Manager, Sarah, is helping us transform our online presence as we launch regular campaigns to get our services and support needs seen and heard. Now we need two new people to join our team and help us move to the next level in the design and promotion of content on our social media channels and our website.
​
These are not paid posts - they are voluntary, but in return for your professional skills and the time you put in we can offer you the satisfaction that comes with helping others to move to or settle in Spain. You’ll also make new friends as part of our lively team.

Introduction.
We are looking for regular help with content management on our social media (Faceboook, Instagram, You Tube and Twitter) and our website, which are vital tools in promoting our services and engaging with our audiences to increase their support and extend the reach of Age in Spain.

This is an opportunity to join a small, remote working team, to use and develop your media skills and experience for a good cause.
​
Is this you?
You might have professional web content or social media experience, you might be developing your skills and experience.
You can show a demonstrable track record in content management and increasing audience engagement.
You have at least four hours a week to spare and like to work flexibly.
You have a computer and a good internet connection.
You live in Spain and understand something of the issues that face English speakers when settling in Spain and the importance of later life planning.
You know your way around social media.

What's involved.
Age in Spain will provide an initial comprehensive induction including online self paced training and a face to face video session(s). Training and support will be provided virtually.
We have a friendly team of staff and volunteers in different parts of Spain. We all work remotely. You will join our media and campaigns team, who are volunteers with a mix of publishing, media, copywriting and design experience.
You will receive on-going support whilst volunteering and opportunities for additional training will be provided from time to time.

Support and training.

There are no set hours, and you can be flexible in the commitment you make as long as the aims of the posts are achieved: a vibrant and continued growth in our social media platforms and website, strengthening our unique charity voice.

You might have just a few months available or you might be looking for a longer term commitment. We can adapt!
We will arrange the time commitment with you before you start. We anticipate that a minimum commitment of four hours a week is required.and the ability to respond quickly to customer feedback and comment.

Time commitment.
All agreed out of pocket expenses such as travel costs, printing/photocopying, will be reimbursed. This role is unlikely to incur travel.
Expenses.
You might be the person we are looking for if

You are familiar with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube and accustomed to communicating on these platforms.

You are able to create effective social posts, have copywriting and basic design skills (we use Canva), and knowledge of Hootsuite or similar software

You ideally have experience of managing social media campaigns on behalf of an organisation, a voluntary group or a business

You can monitor and analyse engagement with our social media pages

For the website content role - experience in managing and creating a range of content that is accessible to a wide variety of users, excellent digital and in-person communication, marketing, and leadership skills, and ideally, knowledge of digital marketing software, tools, and methods with a focus on web content and SEO.

You can be available to respond quickly, and post or tweet if something comes up that concerns our user groups. That won’t happen every day but being available at short notice is important if it does.

You are sympathetic to the aims of Age in Spain and willing to learn about the issues that affect our user groups.
