Age in Spain relies on volunteers to provide helpline and support services to help older people that need a helping hand in Spain.
You can get involved with anything from helping us answer the phone to being a member of the committee.
Volunteers are central to the role and work of Age in Spain.
All our volunteers are given
free insurance cover for your work with Age in Spain
free membership of Age in Spain which gives you the right to attend and vote at our General meetings
training and regular support to ensure that you are properly equipped for your voluntary work
out of pocket expenses for agreed travel and costs that you incur on our behalf
a quarterly newsletter and the opportunity to attend our quartely volunteer meetings (via Zoom, so no travel involved)

Help us to connect and build our presence. Social media is our main tool in connecting with the public to help them live their later life in Spain. We are small, friendly dynamic organisation with a very big role - providing the self help tools and support to enable English speakers to integrate and participate as active citizens. As social media coordinator you will play a key role in helping us to get our message across and build our profile to engage with the English speaking community.

Friendline connects trained volunteers with older people through a weekly 30 minute telephone call. Each volunteer is selected and matched with someone with shared interests and the objective is to develop a mutual friendship.
